Yesterday we talked about how the USPS is hurting from the decrease in mail volume. Companies that sell add-on services for the postal system must be hurting too.

Pitney Bowes is offering their Personal Post postage meter for only $15 per month. This is at least half what it used to rent for last year (you can’t buy a meter). What makes the deal even sweeter is that they’ll throw in $7.50 of free postage each month for two years — so if you mail at least 17 first class letters per month, the meter costs you less than two cups of Starbucks coffee that’d you probably buy if you had to drive to the Post Office to buy stamps.
